Student Presentations at Professional Conference

In March 2007, Leigh Ann Vaughn, associate professor of psychology, and students on her social judgment research team traveled to the Eastern Psychological Association’s annual meeting in Philadelphia. This professional conference draws attendees and presenters from colleges and universities across the northeastern United States. Students on the team created and presented posters on three different research projects that they had conducted over the course of two semesters. Jolie Baumann ‘07 commented that “there is no substitute for this kind of experience. Being able to present your work [to professionals] is an integral skill for psychologists conducting research, and it is one that can only be built through direct experience and practice.”
