Professor Nancy Ramage taught in the Art History Department at Ithaca College for many years before her retirement in 2006. She was (and remains) a widely admired scholar and is the author of several books on Greek and Roman art. She was also a brilliant educator who influenced generations of Ithaca College students. She was instrumental in founding the Classical Studies program at Ithaca College.
Each year the Classical Studies faculty designates one student as recipient of the Ramage Prize in Classical Studies.
