Purpose

To aid Ithaca College students, with a preference for those minoring in Jewish Studies, to broaden their understanding of the history and survival of the Jewish people through formal study involving travel (either domestic or international). Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors who have successfully completed at least two courses of the Jewish studies program may also be considered for this award. Students are encouraged to travel to communities that have important historic significance to the Jewish people and to places they have never been before.

Eligibility 

  • Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors who have successfully completed at least two courses of the Jewish studies program (with a preference for, but not limited to, Jewish Studies minors)
  • Students who are planning to study or conduct research through the auspices of an approved academic institution
  • Students who are planning to return to Ithaca College for at least one more semester after their travel-study experience
