ITHACA, NY—A night of comedy, music and burlesque that breaks stereotypes of Jewish women will be held at Ithaca College on Tuesday, March 4. “Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad” will be staged at 8 p.m. in IC Square in Phillips Hall. It is free and open to the public.
“Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad” features a stellar lineup of comedians, musicians, spoken-word artists and burlesque performers who have appeared on Comedy Central, HBO and MTV. The “girls” boldly dare to deconstruct years of tradition, expectations and guilt in a fast-paced vaudeville extravaganza. As their website proclaims, “This ain’t yo’ mama’s ‘Fiddler.’”
The event is cosponsored by Ithaca College’s Hillel and Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services. For more information, visit http://www.nicejewishgirlsgonebad.com.
