Native American Month 2011 is here!
Join us for an excellent slate of events exploring a range of topics from Native American identity, humor, role in sports, and the meaning of the Haudensaunee flag. A flier will all of the events can be found in the documents section of this site.
Nov. 1st – 12:00pm. Flag Raising with Cayuga Nation. Egbert Student Union flagpole.
Nov. 1st – 7pm. Native American Identity Panel with Hollie Kulago (Diné). Klingenstein Lounge. The panel will begin with a brief presentation of the complexities of identity for Native Americans today followed by questions for the student panel by the moderator and audience.
Nov. 9th – 8pm. Native American Comedian Charlie Hill. IC Square.
Nov. 14th -- 7pm Film Screening of Bright Circle with filmmaker Shawn Kakuk exploring the role of Native Americans in sports, football in particular. Textor 103. http://www.brightcircle.org/
