Professor Zillah Eisenstein (Politics) has been invited to serve on the new International Advisory Council of ENGENDER, located in Mowbray, Capetown, South Africa.
ENGENDER is committed to addressing human rights and conflict resolution in regard to sexes and genders in South Africa and across the world.
Associate Professor Jennifer Jolly was invited to speak at Trinity College in San Antonio, Texas, as part of their annual Stieren Arts Enrichment Series. She presented a talk entitled, "Creating Pátzcuaro: Art, Tourism, and the Mexican State in Michoacán's Lake District, 1930-1945." While in San Antonio, she also participated in a community seminar on public murals in San Antonio.
Carla Stetson's drawing, Blue Streak, was selected for the Fourteenth International Open exhibition at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago. The exhibit opens Friday, March 4th.
Hollie Kulago, doctoral candidate at Purdue University's College of Education, will present the first of four spring lectures by the Predoctoral Diversity Fellows in the School of Humanities and Sciences. The lecture will take place in Clarke Lounge, Campus Center, from 12:10 - 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8. All are invited.
