Career Services for Students and Alumni
Does your student still need an internship for this summer or a job for after graduation? The Office of Career Services can help! Students of all majors and class years are encouraged to take advantage of the services, resources, and events offered by Career Services. We work with students to develop skills in everything from resume and cover letter writing, to networking and professional etiquette, and more.
We also invite IC alumni to utilize our services and resources (for free!). So the next time your student (or graduate) needs an internship or job, wants help with reaching out to professional contacts, or is nervous about an upcoming interview, send him or her our way! In addition to daily drop-in hours and appointments, we offer phone appointments for those who are not on campus.
One of the valuable resources Career Services provides for both students and alumni is an online job and internship database, eRecruiting, which is populated by opportunities shared with our office from employers nationwide and globally. If your company or organization is looking for talent, we are happy to post your job or internship openings at no charge on eRecruiting. Simply e-mail the posting to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the fall 2012 semester, we had more than 1,700 postings, and are hoping to exceed that number this semester with your help!
Additionally, Career Services invites parents, students, and alumni to visit our website where you can find career topic quick guides, "What can I do with a major in _______" sheets, job and internship search tools, networking resources, and more.
