|Professional Excellence Award in Clinical Health Studies/Physical Therapy|
I am a physical therapy major with an exercise science minor from the small town of Newfield, New York, just outside of Ithaca. Like many others, I became interested in physical therapy after experiencing injuries during sports in high school. Having a passion for health and wellness, as well as a fascination with the human body, I knew physical therapy would be the perfect career for me. I decided to stay in the beautiful Ithaca area and attend IC’s prestigious Physical Therapy program. I am excited to use all of the knowledge and skills that I learned at Ithaca to positively impact other people’s lives.
The most memorable experience I’ve had at Ithaca College was being a member of the crew team. This experience taught me the true value of hard work and determination. I was able to improve my time-management skills while also developing myself both mentally and physically. But most of all, I learned a lot about myself. I realized that I could do anything that I set my mind to. I hope to instill this mindset into my future patients in order to maximize their therapeutic outcomes.
