Client of the month: Melinda Butler
Melinda Butler started going to the Wellness Clinic as part of the Mind Body Me Program, and now it has become a part of her regular schedule. She makes time to workout during her lunch hours, and is motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
She enjoys coming to the Clinic because the fitness specialists show her how to use the free weights and machines properly, and they keep her exercises from becoming stagnant. Every three weeks she can change up her routine, face new challenges, and make new goals. Melinda credits the classes for helping her overall fitness and consistency. Her favorites incorporate aerobics and weight training because they’re total body workouts.
The cross training has helped her running tremendously; so much that she’s participated in half-marathons, Ithaca’s Tough Turtle obstacle race, and other races. By working with the fitness specialists and the Mind Body Me program, Melinda has become more accountable and committed to her exercise regimen. Her goal in the future is to continue living a healthy lifestyle so she can live a long life with her family. Melinda says the friendly environment and helpful staff will keep her coming to the Clinic.
