Faculty and students engage in a variety of scholarly activities and research, individually and in collaboration. In the graduate year, occupational therapy students select either a thesis, or a group research option to complete their degrees. In addition, students may engage in individual projects or assist faculty in their research activities. Ithaca College is committed to providing our graduate students with the skills necessary to understand and assist in the generation of new knowledge about the nature of human occupation and the practice of occupational therapy. Several projects have been submitted for publication or presentation at state and national conferences.
Student Funding for Research Presentation
Students who have completed research at Ithaca College and have been accepted to present their work at a conference or meeting may request supportive funding from the occupational therapy department. Students must complete the Student Funding for Research Presentation Application which will be reviewed and approved by the department administrative team. The deadline for submission is September 1 (for fall presentations) and February 22 (for spring presentations). Funds are to be granted per project.
