Personal Profile
I grew up on a family run dairy farm in the small town of Candor, just 20 miles south of Ithaca, NY. After attending high school, I moved to Vermont to begin my undergraduate career in Physical Education and Athletic Training. After completing my teacher education program and obtaining my NATA BOC certification, I moved back to Ithaca to attend graduate school. I received my masters degree from Ithaca College while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Cornell University. On completion of my graduate work, I was hired as a full time athletic trainer at Cornell. After two years at Division I, I chose to return to the field of education and athletic training and was hired here at Ithaca. I am proud to be a part of this wonderful faculty and nationally known athletic training education program.
My husband, Adam and I live in a small town just outside of Ithaca and spend a great deal of our time exploring the outdoors with our yellow lab, Mala. Whether it is up on the hills, down by the lake or at home, we have developed a new love for the southern tier and fingerlakes regions we grew up in.
