The HSHP preprofessional program for freshmen and sophomores offers the opportunity for students to explore health, health care, health education, or sport or leisure careers. Preprofessional students can take up to four semesters (60 credit hours) to investigate the degree programs offered by the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. HSHP has the largest diversity of programs (19 undergraduate) in the Northeast and Midwest.
Students receive intensive guidance and academic advisement concerning program choices and a future profession. When a career decision is made, acceptance into a degree program is facilitated through the office in 322B Smiddy Hall.
