|
I am a graduate of the Occupational Therapy Department at Ithaca College and have been a part of the faculty since 2006. I have worked in the field of adult and geriatric rehabilitation in a variety of settings, including hospital, outpatient, community based, and long term care facilities. My specialty area is ergonomics, and I am a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS). I am also interested in community based programming and health and wellness, and have worked to develop a partnership to provide occupational therapy services at the Ithaca Free Clinic.
I teach a variety of courses including: Adult Evaluation Processes, Adult Intervention Processes,
Kinesiology Lab, Occupations and You, OT in Life Skills (at the Center for Life Skills), and Health
Care and Culture. In the past I have taught Geriatrics and a graduate level community based
practice course.
I am from Long Island originally, but fell in love with Ithaca and never left after graduating! My
husband and I enjoy gardening, spending time with our 2 dogs, and visiting all of the great downtown
restaurants!
