The Occupational Therapy Department asks that the college community join us in wishing Marilyn Kane, Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy a wonderful retirement. A farewell reception will be held on Thursday, May 17th from 3:30-5:30 pm in the Clark Lounge in the Campus Center. The college community is welcome to stop by and join us in wishing Marilyn the best in her retirement.
Marilyn joined the department in 1997, has taught numerous courses, and is a trusted advisor to
students. Marilyn assisted the department with our initial, successful accreditation application as
well as our recent re-accreditation, and held several leadership positions over her tenure in the
department. She served on numerous committees at the department, school, and college level including
the OT and HS & HP Personnel committees, HS & HP Curriculum Committee, Faculty Council, and
Human Subjects Review committees. Marilyn's research interests include driver rehabilitation for older
adults and use of virtual reality as a therapeutic medium for adult intervention. Marilyn has forged
strong relationships with many people in the Ithaca College community and we wish her a happy and
rewarding retirement.
