2008 events:

4/6/08- (Sunday) NYPTA Regional Student Conclave.  

This event is hosted by Ithaca College, and co-sponsored by Ithaca College, Clarkson University, Broome CC, and the NYPTA.  The keynote speaker will be APTA President, Scott Ward, with an additional presentation by Jack Ahern, MA, the NYPTA Labor Relations Consultant.  There will also be four concurrent educational sessions including; Aquatics Athletic Taping, Pediatric Obesity, and Gait Training Post-Stroke.

Eleven IC PT Department Faculty will be at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting, February 2008:

Kathy Buccieri - Attending Pediatrics and Education sections content.

Kathrine Beissner - Presentation on Geriatrics, Saturday morning (Feb 9) at 10:30.

Hilary Greenberger - Attending an item writing workshop for the orthopedic specialization exam.

Tiffany Hilton - Presenting in the geriatrics section Saturday morning

Terri Hoppenrath - Attending CSM for educational activates related to Clinical Education

Jeff Houck - Presentations: Foot and Ankle Tendinopathies - as a collaboration between Ithaca College and USC Saturday morning from 8:00 - 11:00.

Saturday at 4:00, Chris Neville will be doing a podium presentation in the Orthopedic Section.

Chris McNamara - Participating in Aquatic Physical Therapy Section activities (Business Meeting, Executive Committee meeting, overseeing pre-conference courses) as a member of the Executive Committee.

Ernie Nalette -  Participating in Dreamcatchers Planning meetings and attending Thursday Ethics programming.

Deb Nawoczenski - Presentations: Educational Session - Research Section - Thurs 1-2:30: Using Evidence to Guide Shoulder Intervention in Spinal Injury

Presentation - Orthopedic Section - Saturday 4, Uncovering Mechanisms Underlying the Effectiveness of Shoe Inserts in Patients with Midfoot Arthritis - Smita Rao will be presenting this data.

Michael A. Pagliarulo - Attending pre-conference course on Systematic Effective Instruction and general sessions in Education section as well as PT/PTA Program Director's mtg.
