I grew up in Buffalo, New York, and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1979. I moved to Southern California upon graduation to begin my career in neurorehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, where I worked for 12 years as a staff therapist, supervisor, and clinical instructor on the Adult Neuro and Amputee Services. I attended the University of Southern California to complete my Master of Science degree, graduating in 1987.
In 1991, I moved to Rochester, New York and began teaching for the Physical Therapy Program at Ithaca College. My primary teaching responsibilites include the Clinical Science: Neurology I and II courses. I also teach a section of the Research II course.
I am a board certified specialist in neurologic physical therapy, and actively participate on committees sponsored by the Neurology Section of the APTA. I continue to engage in clinical work in neurorehabilitation through Unity Health System in Rochester, New York.
