We are partnered with Starkey Hearing Foundation to provide our time and audiologic services to fit Hear Now recipients, while Starkey Hearing Foundation provides the hearing aids. Hear Now is an application-based program committed to assisting those permanently residing in the U.S. who are deaf or hard of hearing and have no other financial resources to acquire hearing aids. Ithaca College Aphasia Network (ICAN)
A support group for people who have acquired a language disorder as the result of a stroke or other brain injury. Led by Dr. Yvonne Rogalski and graduate students in the Speech-Language Pathology program, this small group meets once a week in a casual environment to share experiences and offer support to one another. Each week the group discusses new topics and assists participants in accessing services to help them with their everyday lives. Transgender Voice and Communication Modification
A communication program serving both male-to-female and female-to-male transgender individuals. Led by Ms. Mary Pitti, the focus is on enhancing many aspects of communication: voice, speech language, non-verbal communication, and self-perception. Participants meet weekly throughout the semester working with student clinicians and a faculty supervisor in both small and large group settings to best meet individual communication goals.
