Strides program featured in Ithaca Journal
Ithaca College's Strides program, which helps low and nonverbal children develop communication skills through equine therapy, was recently featured in the Ithaca Journal newspaper.
The article chronicles Romeo Rojas, a 5-year old participant from Apalachin, New York, who has improved his ability to communicate thanks in large part to the Strides program.
Tina Caswell, clinical assistant professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, is also quoted in the article, describing how the program works and the impact it has on participants.
