Study Abroad
Students in the SLPA department often elect to study abroad. Typically students study abroad for one semester in the spring of the junior year. However, other opportunties, such as summer or spring break abroad, are also available.

"Even before I left for college I knew that I wanted to study abroad. I planned out my class schedule so that I could go spring semester of my junior year. I decided to go to the University of Sydney in Australia. As a Speech Pathology major I valued meeting people from many different cultures. I lived in an International Guest House and got to meet people from all over the world. Study abroad meant having interactions in a different country and forming new relationships. I faced the challenge of being completely on my own and learned a lot about myself and others. It is a beautiful country and I loved traveling as often as I could. I got to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef, skydive, go on a two-day sailing trip to some of the most famous beaches in the world, climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and much more. The interactions and adventures I had are irreplaceable and impossible to have without going abroad and I would recommend it to every student!" -Megan Hurley
