Sport management and media students have access to an array of opportunities to travel internationally and to study abroad. Formal programs, such as our Ithaca College London Center Program, allow students to complete degree requirements while also exploring a new country. The department sponsors a course called "International Sport Administration" which is often offered during the May Session and there are many other opportunities to travel with faculty and earn course credit. Examples include courses such as those designed by Dr. Mosher, who has taken students to the Dominican Republic and Antiqua to explore culture, politics, government, economics, and sport. Drs. Mosher and Farrell accompanied 23 students who were selected to work the Beijing Olympics in the summer of 2008. Dr. Blann has helped to develop our institutional relationships with universities in Australia and Dr. Wolohan has cultivated our relationships with numerous sport organizations in London and other countries around the world.
Student speakers in this session will include:
Faculty Host: Dr. John Wolohan, Professor & Chair, Department of Sport Management & Media
