ITHACA, NY — What’s good to eat for a toddler with food allergies? What kind of eating environment is best for toddlers and preschoolers? Thirteen Ithaca College students in Amy Frith’s Life Cycle Nutrition Class will have the answers for parents attending the Fall Festival at Ithaca Montessori School on Saturday, Oct. 24. The students’ part of the festival will take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the school, located at 12 Ascot Place in Ithaca.
“This is a service learning project,” said Frith, assistant professor of health promotion and physical education. “The students have put together an exhibit regarding nutritional issues relevant to the parents of toddlers or preschool children. The topics range from food allergies, nutritional recommendations, healthy eating environments and physical activity recommendations.”
To interview Frith and her students and to cover the event, contact Amy Frith at (507) 274-5135 or afrith@ithaca.edu.
