Adult Services: Melinda Cozzolino

Photo The Occupational Therapy department operates a clinic with Physical Therapy that is located in the Center for Health Sciences building. This clinic is open during the semester and provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to members of the Ithaca College community.

The clinic is staffed by Physical Therapy faculty and two Occupational Therapy Clinical Faculty with assistance from other faculty and students. The clinic provides opportunities for students to observe, volunteer and complete some of the clinical components of their coursework. The clinic also serves to provide faculty with ongoing clinical and research opportunities. The caseload varies but offers treatment for Performing Artists, Hand injuries, Orthopedic Injuries, Work Related Injuries and various other diagnoses.

The clinic also offers pediatric and Sensory Integration treatment as well as servicing the older adult population at Longview Residential Center. Several other areas of interest that are developing are Functional Capacity Evaluation, Driver's Rehabilitation and SIB Shops (workshops for siblings of children with disabilities).

** In the photograph, Professor Donna Twardowski is seen being assisted by senior student Lauren Alberts treating a pediatric client.
