Areas of Focus for 2013-14

  • Continued development of Integrative Core Curriculum courses, the e-portfolio, and related assessment practices
  • Refinement of First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Academic Connections Program
  • Development of an online/technology and teaching strategic plan
  • Development of integrative electives and integrative majors
  • Revision of the Promotion and Tenure Process and further discussion of flexible faculty workload
  • Expanded collaboration with academic advising, the IC Mentoring Network, and Career Services to support student success
  • Making student employment count: A pilot program led by staff volunteers is developing job-specific learning outcomes for our student employees; these outcomes will be assessed as part of the overall educational experience available to students
