Annual Fireworks Show Set
for July 3 on South Hill

On Wednesday, July 3, the Ithaca College campus will be the scene of the 49th annual community fireworks show. The aerial display will be shot from South Hill soon after 9:30 p.m. The show is one of the largest in central New York, and organizers are seeking advance donations from the public to support it. Those who donate $125 or more will receive VIP treatment for up to four people on the night of the show-reserved parking, pre-fireworks entertainment, and food and beverages in addition to special seating for the display.

Fran Benedict, general chairman of the volunteer fireworks committee, said the support of many individuals and businesses last year helped produce a spectacular show, and "we're planning to do even better this year." Donations can be sent to the Community Fireworks Committee, attention Fran Benedict, in care of any branch of the Tompkins County Trust Company. The rain date for the show is July 5.
