Gerontology Speaker Series Features Robert B. Blancato

 

The Ithaca College Gerontology Institute Distinguished Speaker Series continues on Tuesday, April 22, with a talk by Robert B. Blancato, executive director of the 1995 White House Conference on Aging and former senior adviser, House Select Committee on Aging.

Blancato has worked extensively in the private and non-profit sectors. He is a past president of the National Meals on Wheels Foundation, and was first vice president of the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse. Last March, he became a partner in the public and government relations firm of Matz, Shea and Blancato.

Blancato’s talk, "Aging Policy 1997: The Delicate Balance," is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall. It is free and open to the public, as is the reception that follows.
