Kudos

Pete Moore, director of the Office of Sports Information, was named president of the Eastern College Athletic Conference-Sports Information Directors Association at the organization's annual workshop in June. Moore has been a member of the ECAC-SIDA board of directors for five years and now will serve a one-year term as president. Moore is also a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America, and at that group's recent convention in New Orleans he received three citations of excellence from CoSIDA for Ithaca's athletics publications.

"The Provocations of Art," an article by James Swafford, English, has appeared in the July/August edition of Humanities magazine. The article focuses on some of the issues raised by his National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminar at the Ithaca College London Center.
