Theater Season Continues

Ring Round the Moon

Ring Round the Moon, Christopher Fry’s popular English translation of Jean Anouilh’s classic L’Invitation au Chateau, is the next installment of the Ithaca College theater season. Running February 19–21 and February 24–28, the play will be staged at 8:00 p.m. each evening. Also, a 2:00 p.m. matinee scheduled for Saturday, February 28.

Directed by Arno Selco, Ring Round the Moon is the delightful tale of twin brothers, a supremely rich heiress who is engaged to one of the brothers but desperately in love with his heartless sibling, and a ballet dancer who has been brought to the ball at the chateau to further a plan of the coldly calculating brother. The dancer, however, won’t behave. She has some ardent emotions of her own and resists the role she has been hired to play.

Wilson ’98 (Hugho/Frederic); Sarah Schmidt ’98 (Diana); Katharine Clark ’99 (Lady India); Patrick Spencer Bodd ’98 (Patrice); Melanie Adelman ’98 (Desmermortes); Daniel W. Holabaugh ’99 (Messerschmann); Brian Mulhall ’98 (Romainville); Stacey J. Branscum ’00 (Isabelle); and Jessica Vioila ’98 (Mother).

Petrosino ’98 is the technical director, and David O’Connor ’98 is the lighting designer. Stephen Jackson ’98 is the stage manager. Professor John Bracewell will arrange and design the sound.
