College to Host AHANA Forum

A daylong forum for African-, Hispanic-, Asian-, and Native-American college and university students who want to find out more about graduate school opportunities will be held on Saturday, November 7, at Ithaca College. The 1998 Upstate New York AHANA Graduate Forum is free, and it is open to current undergraduate and graduate students as well as to those who have already graduated and are unsure about future study.

Representatives of more than 100 graduate schools from throughout the country will be on hand to answer questions about applications, entrance exams, financial aid, and specific programs of study, ranging from science and engineering to business, health, and communications. Skill workshops will focus on how to complete application and financial aid forms and on general strategies for preparing for graduate study.

The forum will include a keynote address by Eleanor Reynolds, associate dean of the Graduate School at Cornell University.

The 1998 Upstate New York AHANA Graduate Forum is sponsored by Ithaca College, Syracuse University, Binghamton University, Rochester Institute of Technology, and the University at Albany.
