New SID Named

Mike Warwick has been named sports information director at Ithaca College. Warwick, who had served as acting SID for the past four months, succeeds Pete Moore, who joined the sports information staff at Syracuse University. Warwick is responsible for overseeing publicity and promotion for the College’s 25 varsity athletic teams and is a member of the executive committees of the Ithaca College Sports Booster Club and Ithaca College Sports Hall of Fame.

Warwick spent one year as Ithaca’s assistant SID. Previously, he served for four years at Moravian College, where he was the school’s first full-time sports information director. He had also served as SID at Utica College of Syracuse University for three years while working on a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He holds a master’s degree in sport administration from Kent State University, where he was a graduate assistant in the sports information office. He also spent one year as assistant SID at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
