Promotion
Cameron, Department of
Biology, came to Ithaca College as an assistant professor in
1985 and was named an associate professor in 1991. She has published
in Genetics, the Journal of Biology/Chemistry, and
Current Genetics; presented at numerous conferences across
the country; and served as a visiting associate professor at
Cornell University in 1993. Cameron received a bachelors
degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and
a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has served
as president of Sigma Xi and as chair of the Premedical Sciences
Advisory Committee at the College.
Gayeski, Department of
Organizational Communication, Learning, and Design, came to Ithaca
College from the University of Maryland as an assistant professor
in 1979. She was promoted to associate professor in 1983 and
has served as chair of both the undergraduate department and
the graduate program in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
She has published several books, including Designing and Managing
Computer-Mediated Learning: An Interactive Toolkit, Designing
Communication and Learning Environments, and Multimedia
for Learning, and is nationally recognized for her work in
philosophies for corporate training and communication. She received
the Faculty Leadership Award in 1994. She holds a bachelors
degree from Ithaca College and masters and Ph.D. degrees
from the University of Maryland.
Campos, Department of
Performance Studies, joined Ithaca College in 1986 as an assistant
professor and was promoted to associate professor in 1992. He
has performed as principal trumpet for the Binghamton Philharmonic
Orchestra, Gerald Wolfe Singers, and Ensemble X, among others,
and is a member of the School of Musics Ithaca Brass ensemble.
He serves as the editor and principal contributor to "Clinic,"
a featured column in the International Trumpet Guild Journal.
He holds a bachelors degree from California State University,
Fresno, and a master of music degree from the University of North
Texas. He has been a private trumpet teacher in New York and
California since 1973.
Kelly, Department of Management,
was an Ithaca College Dana research fellow in 199697. She
has taught at the University of Cincinnati and Creighton University,
and served as chair of the management and marketing department
at Louisiana State University. She came to Ithaca College in
1993 as an associate professor, and she was chair of the management
department from 1993 to 1995. She has published and presented
extensively on labor-management issues, including ethics, discrimination,
and religion in the workplace, and is a former staff editor of
the Journal of Legal Studies Education. She serves on
the Ithaca College Faculty Council.
Scriber, Department of
Exercise and Sport Sciences, joined the athletic training staff
after earning his bachelors degree from the College in
1972. He went on to serve as head athletic trainer from 1973
to 1985, at which time he was named supervisor of athletic training
and associate professor. He holds a masters degree from
the State University of New York College at Cortland and a doctorate
from Syracuse University. He has served as an athletic trainer
for numerous national and international competitions, including
the Canada Cup, Paralympic Games, Epson Ivy Bowl, World University
Games, and AAU Junior Olympics. He received the National Athletic
Trainers Associations Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer
Award and was inducted into the Ithaca College Sports Hall of
Fame in 1990.
Blooding, Department of
Performance Studies, has given numerous solo vocal recitals and
performed with such groups as the Ithaca Community Chorus, Ithaca
Opera Company, and Cayuga Chamber Orchestra. He currently serves
as the faculty adviser for the Ithaca College Mens Chorus.
He joined the School of Music faculty in 1990 as an assistant
professor; prior to that he taught at Southern Methodist University
and Middle Tennessee State University and had a private studio
in New York City. He has served as an adjudicator for the School
of Musics high school and concerto competitions, as well
as for the National Association of Teachers of Singing auditions
and competitions. He received his bachelors degree from
Colorado State University, masters from Southern Methodist,
and doctorate from Ohio State University.
Quarrier, Department of
Physical Therapy, graduated from Ithaca College in 1976 and went
on to study at New York University and the University of Indianapolis,
where he received an M.H.S. degree. He served on the physical
therapy staffs of Norwalk Hospital, Easter Seal Rehabilitation
Center, and New Canaan Physical Therapy, among others, before
returning to the College in 1989 as director of the physical
therapy clinic and as a clinical assistant professor in the School
of Health Sciences and Human Performance. He has published in
the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy and
Medical Problems of Performing Artists, and is a reviewer
for Physical Therapy Journal Abstract. He chairs the Colleges
annual summer Health and Performance Institute for Musicians. |
