1998–99 Parents Fund

Parents of Ithaca College students and alumni are in the midst of another year of generosity to the College. As of February 19, Parents Fund contributions stood at $122,250 — a 19 percent increase over last year — from 1,083 individuals. That amount and another $21,500 in outstanding pledges put the Parents Fund at 85 percent of its goal of raising $170,000 to support Ithaca’s programs, students, and faculty. One extraordinary gift has come from the parents of Raymond Frankowski ’79. In memory of their son, a talented professional artist who died in 1994, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Frankowski presented some of his artworks to the College.

The campaign is being led by 1998–99 Parents Fund chairs Stephen and Sherry ’73 Shulman P’99, P’02, and by past chairs John and Paula McClung P’98. Invaluable assistance in the effort has come from the members of the Parents Fund Committee, who generously volunteered their time last fall to speak with other parents about supporting Ithaca.
