Faculty and Staff Earn Recognition

Twelve members of the staff and faculty have been recognized for their job performance and for their contributions to the campus and local community. President Peggy R. Williams presented each awardee with a certificate and a stipend, made possible through the generosity of anonymous donors.

Employee Recognition Awards, presented to outstanding members of the Ithaca College community, went to (shown left to right above, with President Williams) Karen McGavin, executive secretary to the vice president and treasurer; Paula Miller, coach of the women’s swimming team; Larry Chambers, director of financial aid; Colleen Brink, administrative secretary in the Office of Development; Wayne French, supervisor of the print shop; and Dave Prunty, assistant director of residential life.

Faculty Opportunity Awards, given to faculty members who have an especially strong record of accomplishment and who display a pattern of conscientious service to the College, were given to (shown left to right below, with President Williams) Christine Pogorzala, assistant professor of health services administration/Longview coordinator; Cynthia Scheibe, associate professor of psychology; Janice Levy, associate professor of cinema and photography; Hormoz Movassaghi, associate professor of finance/international business; and Arno Selco, professor of theater arts. Grant Cooper, professor of music, also received the award.
