Nathaniel Speights and Keith Watters Lead Colloquium
Two Washington, D.C., attorneys
gave their take on the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal at a colloquium
held on campus in July. Nathaniel Speights (right) and Keith
Watters participated in "Constitutional Law: The Impeachment
Trial of William Jefferson Clinton" as part of the summer
academic orientation for incoming students in the Higher Education
Opportunity Program and the Ithaca Opportunity Program. As an
attorney for Monica Lewinsky, Speights handled key negotiations
between the former White House intern and independent counsel
Kenneth Starr. Watters, a 1976 Ithaca College graduate, represented
a potential witness in the Starr investigation and made frequent
television appearances on the CNBC, CNN, and Fox News networks
as a commentator on the scandal.
