Scholarship Fund for Exchange Program Announced The opening ceremonies of the James J. Whalen Center for Music included the announcement of a scholarship fund linking the school with the University of Limerick in Ireland. Whalen Center Opening College and community guests joined together October 1–2 to celebrate the formal opening of the James J. Whalen Center for Music. Nigerian Poet to Present Multimedia Performance Kole Ade Odutola, a Nigerian-born photographer, poet, and graduate student in the Park School, will present "Revolution and Remembrance — People to the Power!" Exhibit Urges Artists and Viewers to "Do It" The Contemporary Art Series at the Handwerker Gallery continues with Do It, a conceptual art installation created from written instructions from more than 50 renowned artists — including Yoko Ono.. Goodhew and Stout to Give Faculty Recital The School of Music faculty members will give a free recital of solos and duets on Thursday, October 21, featuring Stout’s Duo for Bassoon and Marimba, which he and Goodhew premiered at the International Double Reed Conference. Goodhew Business Communications Expert to Speak Michael D. Zimet ’70, president of Dialogue Solutions, a management consulting practice, will speak on "Upward Communication: Catalyst for Organizational Effectiveness" on Thursday, October 21. Board Approves Charter Changes for M.B.A. The Ithaca College Board of Trustees took an important step toward the implementation of a master of business administration degree program at the College. Two Events Offer Exposure to Native American Cultures Smoke Signals, a film about contemporary Native American life, and a group of young dancers from the Ganondagan State Historic Site will be coming to the College this fall.
