A $660,000 grant from an anonymous donor will
be used to support the Center for Faculty Research and Development.

The All-College Planning and Priorities Committee
presented its preliminary report to the Ithaca College Board of
Trustees in February.

John Barr, associate professor of mathematics
and computer science, and a colleague, Laurie Smith King, formerly
of Ithaca College, received an award of $74,000 for the professors
and their student research teams to develop techniques that could
change the way computer programming languages are taught.

The New York State Education Department has given
final approval to a new master of business administration degree
program in the School of Business.

A free, two-and-a-half-day workshop focusing on
the Alexander technique, a mind-body learning method, will be
available this fall to 65 selected members of the College community.
