Academic Symposium to Feature Student WorksThe fourth annual James J. Whalen Academic Symposium will once again put the spotlight on original research and creative works by Ithaca College students. Scheduled for Monday, March 20, the symposium will feature presentations and performances — all of which are free and open to the public — from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites and Clark Lounge in the Campus Center. A reception for presenters and their faculty sponsors will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Clark Lounge. The symposium represents the results of work done by more than 80 students in collaboration with some 40 faculty members from all five schools of the College. Students will present their research in the areas of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, psychology, art history, literature, theater, sport science, and business. Original student poetry and prose works, musical compositions, artwork, and video projects will also be showcased. Sessions are scheduled as follows:
