Ithaca College president Peggy R. Williams announced
that an anonymous gift of $400,000 will support the College’s
recently established Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and
Ethnicity for the next three years.

Ithaca College has received a $57,000 grant from
the Internal Revenue Service to establish central New York’s first
clinic to serve low-income and non-English-speaking taxpayers.

Bicycle patrol officers from municipal police
departments and campus safety and security offices throughout
New York and Canada came to Ithaca College the week of June 5
to learn how to better use cycling in law enforcement.

The Ithaca College Alumni Association recognized
four distinguished graduates and a former longtime administrator
at the association’s annual Reunion banquet on June 3.

Michael Kaplan ’85, a management supervisor with
a New York City advertising agency, and Jeffrey Selingo ’95, an
assistant editor with the Chronicle of Higher Education,
are the newest members of the Ithaca College Alumni Association
Board of Directors.

A change in the schedule of the Tower Club will
make that facility more available for use for special functions.
As of July 1, the Tower Club will no longer be open for dinner,
which had been served on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
It will continue to be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30
p.m., Monday through Friday.
