Dan Raymond Named New Women's Head Basketball Coach

Dan RaymondDan Raymond is the new head women's basketball coach. He replaces Jennifer Kroll, who left Ithaca after one season to become head coach at the University of Chicago.

"I am pleased that Dan Raymond has accepted our offer to become the head coach of the women's basketball program," says Kristen Ford, director of intercollegiate athletics. "Dan brings a great understanding of and commitment to the Division III philosophy. I am confident in his abilities to maintain the success of the women's basketball program."

Last year Raymond served as the head coach for junior varsity men's basketball and assistant coach for the varsity program, helping the Bombers to an 18-10 record and the first men's basketball Eastern College Athletic Conference upstate New York tournament championship.

Before coming to Ithaca, Raymond served as assistant women's basketball coach at Le Moyne College. Prior to that he was the interim head women's basketball coach at the State University of New York College at Cortland.

Raymond holds a master's degree in education from Le Moyne and a bachelor's degree in physical education from Cortland.
