Scriber Receives HS&HP
Award
Professor
of exercise and sport sciences Kent Scriber (second from left) had a busy
summer. The National Athletic Trainers' Association and the New York State
Athletic Trainers' Association elected him to their respective halls of
fame. To honor him for this achievement and to recognize his 28 years
of dedicated service to his profession and the College, the School of
Health Sciences and Human Performance gave him a plaque on August 25.
Presenting the award on behalf of the school were associate dean David
Dresser, dean Richard Miller, and assistant dean John Bonaguro. Scriber,
a 1972 graduate of the College, chairs the department of exercise and
sport sciences and serves as supervisor of athletic training. He has received
numerous honors, including the NATA award for most distinguished athletic
trainer and the Thomas J. Sheehan Sr. Award, given by NYSATA for outstanding
service to the profession.
