Newest Honor Society Holds Induction

The College’s newest honor society held its inaugural induction ceremony on September 19, as nearly 60 members joined the Delta Phi chapter of Phi Beta Delta, the honor society for international scholars. Above, President Peggy R. Williams greets the guest speaker for the event, Michael Smithee, who is associate director of the Lillian and Emanuel Slutzker Center for International Services at Syracuse University. Phi Beta Delta was founded in 1986 to recognize and encourage highly professional, intellectual, and personal achievements in the field of international education. Those inducted into the chapter included current and former students, faculty, staff, and administrators who have been involved in and had an impact on the international experience at Ithaca College.
