AIDS Quilt on Display
Visitors
had an opportunity to view 128 panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt on
display from October 30 to November 2 in the Emerson Suites. The
3-by-6-foot panels were sewn by friends and loved ones as a way to reflect
on the lives of those who have died of AIDS. Begun in San Francisco in
1987 by the NAMES Project Foundation, the AIDS quilt is a way to increase
public awareness of AIDS and provide a creative means for remembrance
and healing. Worldwide over 12 million people have visited the quilt.
For more information on the quilt, including where to submit a panel,
