Handwerker to Feature Faculty Photography

Works by members of the photography faculty in the Roy H. Park School of Communications will be displayed in A Priori, the first show of the spring semester at the Handwerker Gallery. The exhibit, which runs February 1 through April 4, will include prints by assistant professor Ann Curran, James B. Pendleton fellow in photography Carol Golemboski, assistant professor Ron Jude, associate professor and chair Janice Levy, adjunct professor Jennifer Sakai, and associate professor Steve Skopik.

An opening reception for A Priori will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, and a lunchtime talk with Golemboski, Jude, and Skopik is scheduled for 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6. All gallery events are free and open to the public.

The exhibit will include 8 prints by Curran from her Threshold series, 15 untitled photos by Golemboski, 5 selections from Jude’s 45th Parallel series of photos taken in Idaho, 5 photos Levy took at a hospital and convent in the Dominican Republic, 6 untitled prints by Sakai, and 5 photos from Skopik’s Functions of the Body series.
