Members
of the College community attended a forum on February 12 dealing with
the connection between the private prison industry and Sodexho Marriott
Services, the College’s food service provider. Participants in the program
included (seated, left to right) moderator David Speller, assistant director
of the Office of Multicultural Affairs; Kevin Pranis, chairman of the
board of the Prison Moratorium Project; Michael Jacobson, professor of
criminal justice at John Jay College and former corrections commissioner
for New York City; and Bob Stern, senior vice president and general counsel
for Sodexho Marriott Services.
