Tuesday, May 1

MUSIC

Junior violoncello recital by Susan Ozolins; 7:00 p.m., recital hall. "Songs and Dances," a performance by the concert band, conducted by Mark Fonder; 8:15 p.m., Ford Hall.

Wednesday, May 2

MUSIC

Senior guitar recital by Ryan Vanderhoof; 7:00 p.m., recital hall. Elective sophomore viola recital by Jaime Gould; 7:00 p.m., Muller Chapel. Concert by the symphonic band, conducted by Henry Neubert; 8:15 p.m., Ford Hall.

Thursday, May 3

MUSIC

Elective joint violin recital by Jacqueline Sica, Alyson Whelan, and Neil Fronheiser; noon, Nabenhauer Recital Room. Senior guitar recital by James Esmond; 7:00 p.m., recital hall. Concert by the wind ensemble, conducted by Stephen Peterson, with pianist Read Gainsford; 8:15 p.m., Ford Hall.

Friday, May 18

MUSIC

"Out of Africa: Popular Music of the Americas," the 34th annual Commencement Eve Concert directed by Dana Wilson, featuring the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble, Steel Band, Jazz Workshop, and Choir and the Amani Gospel Singers; 8:30 p.m., Ben Light Gymnasium.

Thursday, May 24

"Aging and Creativity," a daylong conference exploring how art enhances the lives of older adults; 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Campus Center (registration is required; call 274-1965).

CONTINUING EXHIBIT

Annual Senior Student Exhibition, a display of works by students in the Department of Art and Department of Cinema and Photography; through May 19, Handwerker Gallery. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (Thursday until 9:00 p.m.); Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 2:00–6:00 p.m.
