renowned political journalist and author of four widely read books
on advancing through lifes passages, shared her insights
on milestone events in an address at the Colleges 106th
Commencement.

At its May
meeting the Ithaca College Board of Trustees elected three new
members, reelected four, and awarded honorary status to another
two.

The top two
posts on the Ithaca College Board of Trustees have changed hands.
At its May meeting the board elected William Haines as chairman
and Larry Alleva ’71 as vice chairman for one-year terms.

Christopher
Knauer, an Ithaca College graduate and former assistant registrar,
will be returning to his alma mater as the new registrar. He will
begin his duties June 13, replacing John Stanton, who is retiring
in May after 26 years in that office.

At the annual
recognition and awards banquet held on May 15, three faculty members
were honored for their outstanding accomplishments in teaching,
service, and scholarship.

Located on
the first floor of the library, the exhibit features three cases
of scripts, awards, and artifacts from the Rod Serling Archives
at Ithaca College.

McAree has
24 years of experience in student services and has served since
May 2000 as acting vice presidentl.

Wendy Clement
is among the undergraduates chosen from a national pool of 1,164
applicants for the Goldwater Scholarship for the 2001-2 academic
year. .

Sarah Gates,
a senior psychology major and dance minor, has won a Phi Kappa
Phi Award of Excellence for the 2001-2 school year.
