Some 1,540
incoming freshmen will be officially welcomed to Ithaca College
on Monday, August 26, with the Convocation ceremony and community
picnic, events that traditionally signal the start of the academic
year.

The Handwerker
Gallery will open its 2002-3 season with its first-ever alumni
art exhibit. Titled Journeys, the show features works by
14 Ithaca College graduates.

Held previously
at the College in 1979 and 1990, the conference is open to all
members of the UFVA, which is in an organization of almost 800
professionals and institutions involved in the production and
study of film, video, and newer media arts.

The Ithaca
College Concerts 2002-3 series will feature an exciting new singer
and two established instrumentalists.

Justin Auffant
of Catskill, New York, and Shayla Stark of Rochester demonstrated
their robotics projects during a session of the TEAM (Technology,
Empowerment, and Modeling) program held in Williams Hall in July.

Two programs
aired last year on radio station WICB-FM have been honored by
statewide organizations.
