	Table of Contents Ithaca College Creates a New Interdisciplinary Studies Division President Williams has approved the creation of the division to oversee the origination and administration of programs that cross school-based boundaries. Ben and Jerry Selected as Commencement Speakers Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, who have become known as much for running a socially responsible corporation as for their dairy treats, have accepted an invitation to address the College's graduates and guests at the May 18 ceremony. Rolling Requiem Some 400 students, faculty, and staff joined on the morning of September 11 to perform an emotional rendition of Mozart's Requiem. Gerontology Institute Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary The Ithaca College Gerontology Institute has grown into a multifaceted organization with more than a dozen faculty and staff working in collaboration with gerontology professionals both on and off campus. N.Y. State Attorney General Will Talk on Corporate Responsibility Eliot Spitzer, the New York State attorney general, will visit the College on Thursday, October 10, to give a talk, "Corporate Responsibility and the Public Interest." Gerontology Scholar Will Address Problems of African American Elders Frank J. Whittington will present "Communities of Care for African American Elders" as part of the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute Distinguished Speaker Series. Chen Yi Is This Year's Karel Husa Visiting Professor of Composition The composer noted for her skillful drawing together of Eastern and Western music will be the focus of two free events: a public concert and a lecture. In addition, she will provide instruction for composition students in the School of Music. McGovern to Give Talk About Daughter's Fight with Alcoholism Former U. S. senator and presidential candidate George McGovern will visit on Friday, October 11, to discuss his book Terry: My Daughter's Life and Death Struggle with Alcoholism. Expert on Gender Differences Will Discuss 'Coming Out' Issues Ritch Savin-Williams will visit the College to give a presentation, "Mom, Dad, I'm Gay: How Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-gendered, Unlabeled, and Questioning Youth Negotiate Their Relationships with Parents." Series to Feature Expert on Religion and Nationalism Henry Munson Jr., chair and professor of anthropology at the University of Maine, will talk on "Religion and Nationalism" on Wednesday, October 9. It is part of the College's yearlong lecture and discussion series "Religions, Ethnicities, Identities.". AIDS Group Offers Two Events In order to promote understanding of AIDS and to offer hope, the Ithaca College AIDS Working Group is sponsoring a panel discussion and a daffodil planting.
