give the first performance in the Louis K. Thaler Concert Violinist
Series on Tuesday, October 29.

Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, who have become known as much for
running a socially responsible corporation as for their dairy
treats, have accepted an invitation to address the College's graduates
and guests at the May 18 ceremony.

presentation will also feature Carmen Oliveira reading from her
best-selling biography, Rare and Commonplace Flowers: The Story
of Elizabeth Bishop and Lota de Macedo Soares,.

Family, friends, colleagues, and members of the local arts community
gathered at the Tompkins County Library for associate
professor of writing Katharyn Machan's inauguration in the
October 1 ceremony.

The Grammy
Award - winning pianist will open the yearlong Ithaca College
Concerts series "Introduction and Preludes" on Tuesday, October
22, in Ford Hall.

The ensemble
will perform a free program of 20th-century works --- including
the world premiere of a piece honoring the 70th birthday of wind
music legend Frank Battisti.

In an effort
to increase the number of scholars of color on college and university
faculties, the College has joined the Northeast Consortium for
Faculty Diversity.

Noted jazz
and ragtime pianist Tony Caramia's free recital and multimedia
presentation will be the second of the School of Music's new "Improvisation
and You" series.
