Disability Forum ScheduledQuestions and concerns about Ithaca College's responses to those affected by disabilities will be addressed at a forum on Wednesday, February 5. Open to all students, faculty, and staff, the Disability Forum is an opportunity to discuss how the institution can best meet the needs of this growing population and the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act while trying to raise awareness and increase understanding in the general campus community. The program will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will be held in the Clark Lounge, Egbert Hall. Sponsored by the Office of Academic Support Services for Students with Disabilities, Office of Affirmative Action, Office of Human Resources, and Diversity Awareness Committee, this interactive session will feature a panel of experts who will provide updates about disability projects on campus. Additionally, participants are invited to present information and share their perspective on their particular disability related concerns. The information gathered will be shared with College policy makers and used to help set priorities for future solutions. Speakers are limited to five minutes and must register in advance by contacting the Office of Affirmative Action at 274-3909 or bleblanc@ithaca.edu. Individuals who do not wish to present may also submit their concerns in writing in advance of the forum.
