In just one week, over 445 students and alumni gathered in five cities across the East Coast for our 19th annual networking extravaganza. A special thank-you to John Juliano '55, who hosted the highly successful New York City Network Night at his renowned nightclub, the Copacabana.

Rachel Berlin (2000, School of Communications) writes, "Rachel Berlin has been promoted to Production Director at Facts On File, Inc. She joined Facts On File in the fall of 2000 as a Production Associate and began managing the department after the retirement of her predecessor in November 2002.

Dean of Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications Honored by Online News Association
Dianne Lynch, dean of the Roy H. Park School of Communications, was recently honored by the Online News Association (ONA) with its first Rich Jaroslovsky Award. Named after that organization's founder, the award acknowledges extraordinary service to the online news industry and the values for which it stands. With more than 900 members, the ONA is dedicated to promoting editorial integrity, accuracy, and fairness in digital journalism. Not intended to be an annual honor, the Jaroslovsky Award will be presented when the ONA deems it appropriate.

Pulitzer Prize-Winning Reporter Now Teaching at Ithaca College Writes Book on Troubled Teens
David Marcus, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter who is spending this academic year teaching journalism at Ithaca College, has written his first book, What It Takes to Pull Me Through: Why Teenagers Get in Trouble and How Four of Them Got Out. Marcus spent four years researching his work, which tells the story of four troubled teenagers who were sent to the Academy at Swift River, a Massachusetts school known for combining intensive academics, wilderness survival, and group therapy to help teenagers in crisis regain emotional health.

Ben Stein Answers the Call to Deliver Commencement Address at Ithaca College
He wrote speeches for Richard Nixon, his appearance in a 1986 film has been voted one of the 50 funniest scenes in American movie history, he gave away his own money on a television game show-and he will deliver the next Commencement address at Ithaca College. Actor, author, economist, civil rights lawyer, and college professor Ben Stein has accepted an invitation to deliver the main address at Ithaca's Commencement ceremony on May 15, 2005.
